A Case Study presented to elucidate
an effective patient-doctor relationship
in finding the best individualized
intervention strategy for each woman
in her own journey through menopause.
I write this letter to all the women
who are close to or have entered into menopause
to help others avoid some of the pitfalls and difficulties I got myself into,
to share some of the helpful habits I discovered
during my own Journey through menopause,
and describe how I took control of my recovery
from severe damages I experienced
from the most prevalent Hormonal Replacement Therapy
administered to women beginning menopause,
Premarin and Provera.
If you are taking either of these medications,
or know anyone who is,
you may benefit from reading my story and my discoveries.
You will also learn about the power of love and friendship,
from those who supported me through my Journey.
Thank you for letting me share my story with you.
Writing my story,
and knowing that it may help others not to repeat
the same mistakes, has been the best therapy for me.
If you do not wish to read my story,
just skip it and read Chapter 10,
where I summarize what I found worked for me.
A mild, non cancer producing Estrogen (Estriol),
and a bone-building, sleep inducing, Natural Progesterone.
I obtain restful sleep,
have tremendous stamina level,
with my memory back like in my twenties,
and most of all much wiser.
